Veolia Water responded to the scene to mitigate the leak, and the right lane of Route 17 South will be closed until further notice, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. Water Main Break Slows Traffic In Upper Merion Officials in Upper Merion Township responded to the scene of a broken water main Wednesday morning, Oct. 25.  It happened around 8:30 a.m. near the corner of East Church Road and Yerkes Road, where traffic was shut down for crews to repair the damage, UMPD said.  As of Wednesday evening, the Aqua Pennsylvania service outage map shows an emergency shutdown on Yerkes Road from East Church Road to Shoemaker Road with an unknown number of customers affected.  The utility company estimates repairs will be complete by 9 p.m., according to its website.
