Man Charged With Murder In Asbury Park Shooting: Prosecutor
A 19-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested and charged with murdering a teenager in April, authorities announced Friday, July 18.
Jordan Glisson is charged with the fatal shooting of Ah'kim Esdaile, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
On Tuesday, April 8, at 4:25 p.m., Asbury Park police responded to the 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue and found Esdaile, 19, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Santiago said. Esdaile was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Embattled Atlantic City Police Officer Dies, 30
Warren Young, a police officer in Atlantic City, died on Wednesday, July 16, according to the Atlantic City PBA Local #24. He was 30 years old.
The PBA lauded Young in a fundraising appeal, saying he served his community with "courage and compassion." Young leaves behind three children, Warren IV, 6, Bowe, 2 and Hunter, 1.
"His loss has left an unimaginable void in their lives and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him," PBA President Jules Schwenger said.

Vineland Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing: Prosecutor
A 27-year-old Vineland resident was arrested and charged with fatally stabbing a man, authorities announced Tuesday, July 15.
At 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14, Vineland police responded to 771 South East Ave. and found Ronald Shields, 67, with numerous stab wounds, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
Shields was airlifted to an Atlantic City hospital where he was pronounced dead soon after, Webb-McRae said.
Jayron Thomas was located a short distance away from the scene and charged with murder, multiple weapons offenses and tampering with evidence, Webb-McRae said.

A 66-year-old man was killed after crashing into a utility pole in Orange County, state police said.
