Reckless Camaro Driver Wanted After Speeding Away From Cops In Northern Virginia 2X: Police
Police in Loudoun County are seeking a driver in a Chevrolet Camaro with Texas plates, who sped recklessly away from an officer attempting to stop him Saturday, Oct. 14.
Pablo Enrique Orellana-Flores, 34, of Northern Virginia, is wanted on two felony counts of attempted malicious wounding, two felony counts of hit and run, one felony count of eluding, and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving, Leesburg police said.
A Leesburg officer tried stopping Orellana-Flores in a 2016 white Camaro for speeding around 4 p.m., but he sped away west on East Market Street.

Expectant Father, Navy Sailor From Virginia Tanner Huffman Dies Suddenly, 22
Tanner Huffman, a former baseball player from northern Virginia turned Navy sailor, died on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Tanner Huffman, 22, played baseball for Massapnoax High School before serving the U.S. as a member of the Navy — following in his father's footsteps, according to his obituary.
Tanner, of Colonial Beach and Fredericksburg, met his wife, Heather, while stationed in Japan, his obit says. They two were expecting a daughter, Kamryn June, together in October, the obituary says.

A sex trafficker in Anne Arundel County will have years to ponder his horrendous mistakes after being sentenced to nearly two decades in prison, federal authorities announced.
Benjamin Lawton, 42, of Glen Burnie, was sentenced to 19 years behind bars followed by 25 years of supervised release for using eight women to work for him as part of a prostitution business he was running.
According to court documents, beginning in 2020, Lawton recruited, enticed, transported, and advertised several women by force, threats of force, or coercion into working as prostitutes.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a Maryland man in Northern Virginia over the weekend.
Heriberto Valdez, of Woodbridge, fatally stabbed Jesser Edwardo Marroquin Cordon, 33, during an argument on Saturday, Aug. 5 in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
Valdez and Cordon, who police identified as acquaintances, were arguing at a home on the 800 block of Fulton Place in Woodbridge around 10:25 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. Valdez stabbed Cordon, then chased him into the backyard, where Cordon collapsed.

A missing paddleboarder found dead in Martha's Vineyard has been identified as the longtime chef to the Obamas from Northern Virginia.
The body of Tafari Campbell, 45, of Dumfries, VA, was found approximately 100 feet from shore around 8 feet deep on Monday, July 24, after he went missing paddleboarding, Massachusetts State Police said.
Campbell, whose body was found near the Obamas' estate, was visiting the area at the time of his death, MSP said, and had been employed by former President Obama, police said. The Obamas were not at home at the time of the incident.
