A Western Pennsylvania man is accused of trying to rape a child after showing up with condoms, candy, and cash to a pre-arranged meeting with someone he believed was a 12-year-old girl, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Tuesday, July 8.
Lane Alan Simpson, 40, of Pitcairn, thought he was communicating with the girl’s mother when he arranged to pay for sexual contact, prosecutors said. But it was an undercover agent with the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section.

Woman Ran Prostitution House In Montclair, Cops Say
A 51-year-old Queens woman was arrested and charged with having a prostitution business in Montclair, authorities announced Tuesday, July 8.
Law enforcement began investigating a business on the 400 block of Bloomfield Avenue after receiving complaints about suspected acts of prostitution, Montclair police said.
On Wednesday, July 2, a law enforcement operation led to the arrest of Meifeing Li, police said. Li is charged with prostitution, police said.
Detectives seized cash, surveillance equipment and other items linked to prostitution related activities, police said.

PA Man Arrested For Voorhees Bank Robbery: Prosecutor
A 35-year-old Bucks County man was arrested and charged with robbing a bank in Voorhees, authorities announced Monday, July 7.
On Friday, June 27, at 11:45 a.m., police responded to the Bank of Princeton at 133 Route 73 after a man, later identified as Phu Nguygen, passed a demand note to the teller and reportedly showed that he had a firearm in his waistband, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay and Voorhees Township Police Chief Louis Bordi said.
Nguygen received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area, authorities said.
