A convicted felon with a history of robbery charges is back behind bars after allegedly robbing a Connecticut Wells Fargo bank, authorities said.
Thomas Hopkins, 57, of Waterbury, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree threatening, and second-degree larceny, police said on Monday, Nov. 18.
Hopkins is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo at 800 Wolcott St. in Waterbury around 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, police said. He walked in and told employees he had a gun and demanded cash; however, he never showed the weapon.

A Long Island man was convicted by a jury of killing a gas station worker after stealing just around $20 of gas.
Joshua Roston, age 38 of Baldwin, received his conviction on Friday, Oct. 27 for the 2019 murder of Cemal ‘John’ Dagdeviren, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2019, Roston pulled up in his GMC SUV to the Pit Stop gas station, located at 1210 Grand Avenue in North Baldwin.

Armed Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed After Targeting Capital Region Branch, Police Say
A 59-year-old man is accused of robbing a bank in the region at gunpoint.
The robbery happened at around 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, in Albany at the Broadview bank on State Street, according to Albany Police.
Investigators said Leonard Price, of Albany, entered the branch and displayed a handgun, demanding money from the drawer.
The teller complied and Price fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

A 16-year-old boy from the region is facing criminal charges after allegedly luring a man and robbing him at knifepoint.
The incident happened Tuesday, March 21, in Saratoga County in the Town of Halfmoon, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

A 34-year-old man from Egg Harbor City has been sentenced for attempted murder and first-degree robbery, authorities said.
Robert Harrell was sentenced on Friday to 30 years in state prison for attempted murder, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill.
Harrell also was sentenced to a consecutive 20-year sentence for the first-degree robbery charge.
Harrell, who was in possession of a knife, was identified as a suspect in two violent incidents over two days.

The identities of a suspect who has been apprehended and the victim in a fatal shooting in Nyack have been released.
The incident took place in Rockland County around 10 a.m., Friday, May 22, in the area of South Midland Avenue, south of Depew Avenue, in Nyack, according to Orangetown Police.
When police arrived on the scene they found the victim, Ryan L. Franklin, 30, of West Haverstraw, with apparent gunshot injuries.

Brandon Torres, 22, of Staten Island was arraigned Friday, Aug. 2 and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree robbery, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.

An alleged burglar was shot in the hand while attempting to rob a basement apartment in New Rochelle on Monday morning, police said.
The New Rochelle Police Department received a report shortly after 12:45 a.m. on Monday, July 2, of a robbery at a Main Street apartment, and that one of the suspects involved had suffered a gunshot wound.
