Here's How Early Flu Season Could Reach Its Peak Flu’s early rise is putting the timing of this season’s peak in focus, but the calendar offers clues rather than guarantees. US influenza activity most often peaks between December and February, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  That means December falls at the beginning of the typical peak window, though the agency’s historical summary does not predict when this season will reach its highest point.
