An 82-year-old man suffered serious injuries after escaping a house fire on Long Island on Saturday, July 11, police said. Fourth Precinct officers responded to a report of a residential fire at a home on Oakside Drive in Smithtown at approximately 5:54 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police.
