Suffolk Man Found Dead At Car Crash Scene, Medical Emergency Suspected: Police An 85-year-old Long Island man was killed in a one-car crash Friday morning, Oct. 2, police said. John Anderson, of Hauppauge, was traveling northbound on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma in a 2003 Mitsubishi truck, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Suddenly, around 7:30 a.m. Friday, Anderson’s vehicle left the road and hit a tree in front of 299 Hawkins Avenue, police said. Investigators believe he suffered a medical emergency that resulted in him losing control of the vehicle.
