SoNo Branch Library Hosting Daytime New Year's Eve Celebration NORWALK, Conn. -- The SoNo Branch Library, 10 Washington St., will be hosting a daytime New Year’s celebration. “Noon Year’s Eve” will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The all-ages event will feature dancing, live entertainment from musical duo Jay and Ray and a “countdown” to the stroke of noon. City Of Danbury To Pick Up Discarded Christmas Trees DANBURY, Conn. -- The Highway Department will begin picking up discarded Christmas trees on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. Pick-up will continue until Friday, Jan. 29, weather permitting. Residents must place their trees curbside for pick-up. All items, including decorations, tinsel, lights and tree stands, must be removed from the trees. Artificial trees will not be included in the pick-up service.
