Forked River Woman With Warrant Rams Cop, Hits Car, Flees Scene In Wild Lacey Chase: Police
A 27-year-old New Jersey woman was arrested after police say she struck a police officer, hit a civilian’s vehicle, and fled the scene — both by car and on foot.
The incident happened on Tuesday, July 15, around 4:28 p.m., when officers stopped a vehicle in a Lacey Road business parking lot near Newark Avenue, police said.
The driver, Brooke I. Mathews, of Forked River, tried to flee during the traffic stop, according to Lacey Police Capt. Paul Sullivan Jr. Matthews put her car in reverse and slammed a Lacey police officer and vehicle, Sullivan said.

Fourth Detainee Who Escaped New Jersey ICE Facility Captured 2,700 Miles Away
The fourth and final detainee who escaped from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in New Jersey last month was captured Thursday, July 17, in Los Angeles, more than 2,700 miles away, the FBI said.
Andres Felipe Pineda-Mogollon, 25, a Colombian national, escaped from Delaney Hall in Newark following a riot on June 12, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
The FBI did not release further details about Pineda-Mogollon's escape.

A New Jersey father is facing a devastating diagnosis, just months after his wife died of the same.
Jeff Krajicek, of Sparta, was diagnosed in April with stage IV bladder cancer, according to a GoFundMe organized by Isabella Tracey. As of Thursday, July 17, the fundraiser had raised $17,000.
Jane Elizabeth Krajicek died of colorectal cancer on Monday, March 17. She was 62 years old.
