Teenager Shot In Jersey City: Authorities A 19-year-old man was shot in Jersey City early Monday morning, August 7, authorities said. At 3:22 a.m., Jersey City police were called to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Union Street where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shin, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalfione said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.

Two tickets sold in Bergen County and one ticket sold in Hudson County matched four of the white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, netting the lucky winners $10,000. The tickets were sold at Dollar Power and Welsh Farms in New Milford and Holland Service Center in Jersey City.  The winning numbers for the Friday, August 4, drawing were: 11, 30, 45, 52 and 56. The Gold Mega Ball was 20 and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

Two People Shot In Newark: Police Two people were hospitalized after being shot in Newark Saturday morning, authorities said. At 10:29 a.m., police responded to a report of shots fired at Astor Street near Pennsylvania Avenue,  Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Man Found Dead On Train Tracks ID'd NJ Transit has identified the man who may have been electrocuted on train tracks in Newark on Saturday, July 29. Marcus Lee, a 53-year-old Newark resident, may have come in contact with the catenary and was not struck by a train, though officials said they are investigating. Lee's body was discovered at 11:25 a.m. on the tracks just west of Broad Street station in Newark, an NJ Transit spokesperson said.
