NJ Man Arrested Fleeing To Delaware After Fatally Shooting Girlfriend: Prosecutor A 29-year-old Orange man was arrested in Delaware after he fatally shot his girlfriend in East Orange Sunday, June 29, authorities said. At 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at 15 N 16th St. and found Shalamar Brown critically injured, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. Truck Crashes Into Wires, Causing Power Outage In Fairfield A truck crashed into wires, causing dozens of businesses to be without power in Fairfield on Monday, June 30, authorities said. The truck was exiting a business driveway when it struck low hanging wires, causing the chain reaction, Fairfield police said. The crash caused damage to eight poles and several of them broke, police said. The wires fell on parked cars, causing several to catch fire, police said. Three Men At Large After Phillipsburg Shooting: Police Three people fled on foot following a shooting in Phillipsburg on early Monday morning, June 30, authorities said. At 1:49 a.m., officers responded to Mercer Street at River Street on a report of a shooting, Phillipsburg police said. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the shooting occurred and recovered a stolen vehicle out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and a handgun, police said. There are no known injuries and only property damage was discovered, police said. Three men fled the scene on foot, police said. The shooting remains under investigation, police said.

Chatham DPW Employee Injured By Saw Sees Outpouring Of Support David Allan, a department of Public Works employee in Chatham was injured by a cut-off saw on Thursday morning, June 26, according to a fundraiser set up to support him. Allan was rushed to Morristown Memorial Hospital, underwent immediate surgery and is in intensive care with a temporary tracheotomy and remains on a ventilator.
