Suspicious Death In Paramus Home Probed By Bergen County Prosecutor (Developing) Authorities are investigating a suspicious death in a Paramus home, a spokesperson for the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed. Paramus officers were called to a home on East Ridgewood Avenue around 4:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, where they found a woman dead inside the home, BCPO spokesman Jeff Angerymeyer said. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is underway, being led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Paramus Police Department. CT Highway Reopens After 3-Car Crash, Fire; 2 Hurt: Firefighters The Merritt Parkway was temporarily shut down on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 19, after a three-car pile-up sparked a truck fire and sent two to the hospital, authorities said. Norwalk firefighters were called to the Merritt Parkway between northbound exits 38 to 40 for the multiple-car crash just after noon. Five Hospitalized In Route 17 Crash Five people were hospitalized in a crash on Route 17 on Tuesday morning, Nov. 19, police said. A Mercedes SUV was rear-ended by a Toyota Prius at Union Avenue in the northbound lanes of East Rutherford just after 6 a.m., East Rutherford Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. Holy Name EMS responded and transported five people to Hackensack Meridian Health University Medical Center. Nicks Towing responded and removed both vehicles from the roadway. Fatal Crash: Woman ID'd As Victim After Car Hits Barrier In Hudson Valley A man sustained serious injuries, and his passenger died after a single-car crash in the region. It happened in Dutchess County around 7:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, in Pleasant Valley. New York State Police said a 55-year-old Poughkeepsie man was driving a 2006 Honda sedan eastbound on Sherow Road when he failed to stop at the intersection with North Avenue.
