The conditions could lead the way to strong to severe thunderstorms, with the highest storm chance being Wednesday afternoon and again overnight Thursday into Friday.

The highest heat index values will occur mainly during the afternoons both days, with heat stress possible during outdoor exertion or extended exposure, the National Weather Service said.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.

Wednesday's actual high temperature will right around 90 degrees. It will be mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rain.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with the high temperature again around 90 and a chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight into Friday.
