Despite higher mortgage rates and tight inventory, the real estate market across Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties showed continued strength in the second quarter of 2025, according to a new report from Houlihan Lawrence.
In Westchester County, luxury homes priced above $2 million remained in high demand, especially in towns with strong transportation access and updated interiors. Man Admits Raping 6-Year-Old At NY Home After Decade, DA Says
A Rockland County man has pleaded guilty in a case involving the rape of a young child that occurred nearly a decade ago, officials announced.
Juan Buezo-Hernandez, age 52, of Airmont, entered the guilty plea to first-degree rape on Wednesday, July 3, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced on Tuesday, July 8.
The abuse happened in the summer of 2015 at a residence in the village of Spring Valley, authorities said. There, Buezo-Hernandez engaged in vaginal sexual intercourse with a six-year-old girl, prosecutors said.
