Smoke, Flames Erupt At Virginia Home Before Occupant Is Rushed To Hospital A house fire in Virginia sent one occupant to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after flames broke out shortly before 6:40 p.m. on  Saturday, Aug. 8, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Firefighters were called to a two-story, single-family home in the Dunn Loring area following reports of smoke showing from the residence.
