The woman killed in a car crash in Albany earlier this week was identified Thursday, Sept. 24 by police.
Judith Avner, 74, of Delmar, was killed in the one-car crash Tuesday, Sept. 22 near Route 85, the Albany Police Department said.
Avner was involved throughout the Capital Region community, working with the Brain Injury Association of New York State and her local synagogue at Congregation Ohav Shalom.

A naked Connecticut man who police said showed signs of drug impairment at an I-684 rest area in Northern Westchester was caught with methamphetamine and other drugs in his vehicle, authorities announced.
Virgil J. Naveda, 56, of Darien, Connecticut, was arrested during an incident at the Bedford Service Area on southbound I-684 at around 3:24 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, New York State Police said on Thursday, Sept. 24.
Troopers had been called to the rest area for a report of public lewdness and found Naveda naked and exhibiting signs of impairment, according to the agency.

4 Charged In Bergen County Burglary, 2 Remain At Large: Police
Four people have been charged in a burglary at a Bergen County business, with two arrested and two still at large, authorities said.
The burglary happened at 800 Kinderkamack Road, an office building in Oradell, around 9 p.m. Sunday, June 21, according to Oradell Police Chief David Gangemi. Multiple items were taken after the property was unlawfully entered, the chief said.
