To the Editor,

Joel Tyner is running for reelection for County Legislator, Clinton/Rhinebeck, District 11.

Over the last several months I have gotten to know Joel. What I have learned is that he is a work horse, constantly researching, investigating and reporting the issues that impact me and my neighbors in Clinton, Rhinebeck and across Dutchess County.

I have witnessed that Joel takes his responsibilities very seriously, and I believe he cares about all of the people he represents: the seniors, the families, the poor, the home-owners, the farmers, the small business owners — all of us, regardless of party affiliation. He cares about the water in my family’s well, that women are treated fairly in the workplace, that seniors are offered community services, and that veterans have the healthcare they deserve. He cares about corruption in our county government. He is working for us, not big businesses.

I’ve met with Joel at many different functions and he has always been attentive to all points-of-view. I’ve watched him explain situations, take notes on individual concerns, and pitch-in to help others.

I want a legislator who cares, who is dedicated to the job he was elected to do, in spite of adversity. I want a tireless investigator who will write and submit countless pieces of legislation on our behalf.

Joel Tyner has my vote.
