Woman Stole Thousands From Hyde Park Employee, Police Say

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- A Wappingers Falls woman has been accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an ATM at a Hyde Park gas station, police said Friday.

Cheryl Flores, an employee of East Park Mobil on Violet Avenue, was arrested after the business told police $12,720 had gone missing from its ATM between May 31 and Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Flores was charged with grand larceny, police said.

According to police, she was “interviewed and admitted to this crime.”

Flores was arraigned in Hyde Park Justice Court and sent to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bail bond.

She is due back in court Wednesday, Aug. 24 to answer the charges.
