The fire started around 3:46 p.m. Wednesday at 20 Hidden Valley Road, with Rhinebeck fire crews responding within four minutes, the department reported.

Once on scene, firefighters found a large fire and transmitted a second alarm and requested assistance at the scene.

Crews were able to quickly douse the blaze and went through the home to make sure there was no one inside.

The one person who lives in the mobile home, was not home at the time and no one was injured, Rhinebeck officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Rhinebeck received assistance from Hillside, Red Hook and Milan fire departments, along with the New York State Police and Mobile Life Support.

While crews were battling the blaze, the department received two additional calls for help including a carbon monoxide incident and a fire alarm activation, which were handled by Rhinecliff and Staatsburg fire department who were providing mutual aid.
