Julio A. Suarez, 31, was caught with the "very realistic" gun that fires blanks when the driver of the car he was a passenger in was arrested for heroin on Sunday, said Town of Lloyd Police Lt. James Janso.
Suarez was charged with felony possession of a weapon, criminal impersonation, and obstructing governmental administration, Janso said.
He was arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Court and was remanded to Ulster County Jail without bail.
