The fire, which started about 2:40 p.m. Monday at 4693 Route 9G, has closed Route 9G as well as roads from Annandale Road to Budds Corners Road, said Sgt. Patrick Hildenbrand.

Residents were able to get out of the home, but several pets were killed, he said.
