Jason M. Alm was arrested Thursday by Hyde Park Police following an investigation for the Oct. 29 robbery at the Sunoco gas station, said Chief of Police Robert Benson.
During the robbery, police said Alm entered the gas station at 4299 Albany Post Rd armed with a knife and demanded money. He then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Benson said.
An investigation by the Hyde Park detective unit led to Alm, who was in the area at the time of the robbery.
Alm was charged with robbery and released to the supervision of Dutchess County Probation.
The Hyde Park Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police, City of Poughkeepsie Police K-9 Unit, and the Dutchess County Sheriffs Office.
He is due to appear in court on Nov. 27.
