Hyde Park Duo Steals, Cashes Family Member's Checks, Police Say

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. --  Two Hyde Park residents were busted by New York State police on Tuesday for forging more than $400 in stolen checks from a family member, according to the New York State Police.

Arianna Holt, 23 and Kristen Zietz, 25, of Hyde Park, were arrested after state police were contacted by a Hyde Park resident who told them someone had stolen and forged three checks totaling $414 at the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Poughkeepsie. Police were able to track the checks to Holt and Zietz, state police said.

Both were charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Holt and Zietz are being held at the Dutchess County Jail.
