Former Dutchess County Legislator Appointed Staatsburg Fire Commissioner

STAATSBURG, N.Y. - The Straatsburg Fire District has appointed former Dutchess County Legislator Todd Bender to fill an unexpired term as Fire Commissioner on Monday.

Bender lives in Golden Meadows with his wife and son has been working in the community and in government for over two decades. Currently, he works as the Legislative Aide for the Town of Pawling.

“This opportunity is just one more way I can give back to my community. I look forward to recruiting volunteers to lessen the burden on my friends and neighbors that currently serve around the clock to keep us safe” said Bender.
