East Fishkill Police Save Man From Heroin Overdose

EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- East Fishkill police officers helped save an area man from an apparent heroin overdose on Saturday, March 26, officials said.

Responders received a report of a 35-year-old man choking, but quickly determined the victim had stopped breathing from a probably heroin overdose. Officers were able to administer Narcan and revive the man, officials said.

The victim was taken to a Poughkeepsie hospital for further treatment, police said.
