Ronald F. MacDonald, 83, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Ronald F. MacDonald, a resident of Rhinebeck, died Saturday, March 26. He was 83.

He was born in Rochester, N.Y., on July 4, 1932, to Waldo and Marian (Hawelka) MacDonald.

He served in the Navy, after which he attended RIT and graduated magna cum laude. He later worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie where he was able to travel all over the states as well as the world. Active in the community, he was a talented organist and played at several locations in the area.

He is survived by his cousins and friends, Frank and Ruth Montondo, Lorraine and Tom Dawes, Richard and Catherine Montondo, Jon Montondo, and Betty Reisig.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51. W. Market St., Rhinebeck. Interment will be later this spring at the Irondequost Cemetery.
