Mildred Hanaburgh Butler Miller, 96, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.J. – Mildred Hanaburgh Butler Miller, a lifelong Rhinebeck resident, died Thursday, Nov. 12. She was 96.

She was born Nov. 28, 1918, to Charles and Ethel (nee Bodley) Hanaburgh, graduating from Rhinebeck High School.

Miller was predeceased by her parents, husbands Albert Butler Jr. and Henry Miller, daughter-in-law Mildred Butler, stepson Ronald Miller, four brothers, Hanford, Charles, Raymond and James Hanaburgh; three sisters, Minnie Newkirk, Christine Hanaburgh and Esther Spencer, and half-sister Mary Gerzalian.

She is survived by daughter Marion Russell and her husband James of Longmeadow, Mass.; son Donald Butler of Red Hook; stepson Robert Miller; brother Orson Hanaburgh; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home in Rhinebeck handled the arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to the Rhinebeck United Methodist Church, 83 East Market Street, Rhinebeck, NJ 12572.
