ELIZAVILLE, N.Y. – Lucille A. Santagata, a resident of Elizaville, N.Y., and part time resident of Cape Coral, Fla., died Friday, July 22. She was 79.
Born on Dec.17, 1936, in Astoria, N.Y., she was the daughter of Ralph and Rose (Casaletto) Barsotti.
On Jan.29,1956, she married Joseph Santagata Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Santagata III and Michael Santagata; and her daughter, Laurie Santagata.
Her husband died in 2013 and she also was predeceased by her two sisters Thelma Barsotti and Elizabeth D’Aguillo; and brother-in-law, Joseph D;Aguillo.
Visitation is at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 S. Broadway,, Red Hook on Wednesday, July 27, from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday, July 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 7 p.m. on Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Friday, July 29, at St. Christopher's Church, Red Hook, N.Y. Burial will be at Elizaville Methodist Cemetery, Elizaville.
Memorial donations may be made in Lucille's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
