RHINEBECK, N.J. – Kenneth J. Burke of Rhinebeck died Friday, Dec. 11, at Kingston Hospital. He was 78.
Burke was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Poughkeepsie to Charles Augustus and Evelyn Helen (nee Keese) Burke.
He served in the Army, graduated from Hamilton College and Albany Law School, and served as the Rhinebeck village justice for 11 years before returning to being a defense attorney.
Burke was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by wife, George-Anne (nee Hoppock); a son, John of Redding, Calif.; a daughter, Sarah Holcombe of Rhinebeck; and a grandson, Taylor Conroy of San Francisco.
