Born Oct. 16, 1951, in Glasgow, Scotland, he is the son of William and Margaret Hill.
He spent most of his working years for Metro-North Railroad. He retired after 36 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette; three children, Susan Nova Hill of Motherwell, Scotland, Leslie Campbell Hill of Rhinecliff and Colin John Hill of Newburgh; two stepchildren, Harry and Rita Fox; his mother, Margaret of Uddingston, Scotland; three brothers, David, Peter and Alan; a granddaughter, Stephanie Feenan; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, from 4-7 p.m. at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home in Rhinebeck.
