The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Dutchess County residents regarding the residency of 59-year-old Brennan Thek, who has moved from Poughkeepsie to a residence on Lake Drive in Rhinebeck.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Thek as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Thek was arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police for having unlawful contact with a minor in 2008. He was convicted a year later and sentenced to three years probation and two years in state prison. Thek is now under the jurisdiction of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
