Residential Facility Employee Punches 21-Year-Old In Red Hook, Police Say

A 51-year-old woman is facing a charge of endangering the welfare of an incompetent person in Dutchess County after allegedly punching a handicapped woman at the residential facility she worked for.

New York State Police troopers from Rhinebeck arrested Saugerties - in Ulster County - resident Annettee Stramel, this week, for allegedly striking her 21-year-old victim.

Following a state police investigation, which was aided by the Justice Center, it was determined that Stramel punched her victim in the leg while she was still employed at a local residential facility for people with developmental disabilities. The particular facility was not disclosed by police.

Stramel was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in the Town of Red Hook Court next week, on Thursday, June 22.
