MILAN, N.Y. -- Plans for a bridge replacement and a 12-mile-long detour will be discussed at a public information meeting Friday, March 18, in Milan, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal.
The meeting will take place at 10 a.m. at Milan Town Hall, 20 Wilcox Circle.
The state Department of Transportation will detour traffic through Rhinebeck and Red Hook while it works on the Route 199 span over the Sawkill Creek, the Poughkeepsie Journal article said.
Drivers who use the Route 199 bridge will be directed to use Route 308, Route 9G and Route 9, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
The project is set to begin in April and last through August, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
