Amy McArdle-Rausenberger and Scott Rausenberger, who were indicted on the charges in January and pleaded not guilty the following month, entered their pleas before Dutchess County Court judge Edward McLaughlin, said Dutchess senior assistant district attorney Andrea Long.
Long said the two will be sentenced on May 24 and remained free on bail until that time.
McArdle-Rausenberger had been the director of athletics, health and physical education for the district since 2004.
According to the indictment, the Newburgh couple stole more than $50,000 worth of sporting and athletic equipment, office supplies, and other items from the district between July 2009 and August 2016.
The couple was arrested in September following an investigation by the Hyde Park Police Department and New York State police after the stolen property was found at their Newburgh home
Scott Rausenberger ran a fitness training company called Go Fast Get Fit from a detached garage at their home, police said.
McArdle-Rausenberger, who had been on family leave, turned in her resignation to the school district on Wednesday, said Hyde Park School District Superintendent Greer Rychcik.
“The district is extremely disappointed, to say the least,” Rychcik said, “It's disturbing that a high-level administrator would choose to take part in criminal activity and personal gain over the needs of our students.”
