Police are searching for 68-year-old Edward E. Lopez, who was reported missing from the Lakeview Chateau Community Residence located on W. Hunns Lake Road in the Town of Stanford in Dutchess County.
Lopez was last seen at the Lakeview Chateau before 5 p.m. on Monday, March 14 and it is believed that he left the residence on foot, according to police.
"We are continuing our search for Mr. Lopez with the assistance of the New York State Forest Rangers and the Westchester County Police Department Canine Units," State Police said in a statement.
Lopez is described as a black Hispanic male, 5-foot-6 and 140 pounds. Lopez has a large gray beard and afro. He was seen wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans.
"We are requesting that everyone with sheds or unoccupied structures located on their property check the interior for Mr. Lopez," State Police said.
Lopez suffers from Schizophrenia and may be in need of immediate medical attention, police said.

Stanford Fire Department and mutual aid departments have also assisted with the investigation.
