About 125 balloon launches will occur during the weekend event at Barton Orchards, 63 Apple Tree Lane in Poughquag. Two additional balloons will be on hand for Friday and Saturday nights at Migliorelli Farm, 245 Guski Road, Red Hook, according to the Chamber.

This year's festival is to feature a number of new events, including a petting zoo, crafts, hay mazes, hayrides, food trucks and vendors, a tap room, a bakery, a farmers market, fire pits, a ball toss, live music on two stages and fireworks (on Friday night), according to the Chamber.

Helicopter and hot-air balloon rides also will be available at a cost. Reservations made in advance are required.

Assuming the weather permits, 10 balloons are scheduled to light up the night sky on Saturday night during the weekend's expanded moon glow and a "mass balloon launch" is to be held on Sunday night. Balloon launches are scheduled for 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and at 6 p.m. Friday-Sunday, according to the Chamber.

Admission to the festival at noon is $10 on Friday and Saturday in advance, (a limited number of tickets will be available at the gate for $12) and $5 on Sunday (available at the gate only). An all-access weekend pass also is available for $17.95 until July 1.

Parking is free and will be available on- and off-site. A shuttle will be available for those who park off-site, according to the Chamber.

Updates on the weekend will be posted on the Chamber's website as well as on Facebook and Twitter. Those attending are urged to share their photos on social media using the #dcrcocBalloon! hashtag.
