A Caregiver Support Group is held from 6:30-8 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. The support group allows people caring for someone with dementia to share their feelings and experiences with others who understand.

A Music Social for people with early-stage Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia and their family caregivers is held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month at the Mahopac Public Library. The program is an interactive program with a certified music therapist that encourages people living with Alzheimer’s and their family caregivers to get out, socialize and enjoy some musical fun. The Music Social is free, but preregistration is required.

Anyone interested in attending either group should call Care Consultant Lisa Papantoniou at 800-272-3900.
