State Comptroller DiNapoli Addressing Dutchess Chamber

The local economy will be discussed by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli at the July Contact Breakfast in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday.

DiNapoli will be the keynote speaker and comment on a report coming out later in the day about economic conditions in the region.

The Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the breakfast, which begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center.

Tickets are $25 for members in advance or $30 at the door. Non-members can attend for $35. To makes reservations, call (845) 454-1700, ext. 1000 or visit dcrcoc.org.

Contact breakfast attendees are asked to bring dry or canned goods to help The Chamber's Ambassador Committee in its ongoing drive to benefit the Chamber’s Workforce Development Center. Donations may be deposited in the marked boxes near the registration tables at the Poughkeepsie Grand.

Since 1963, the credit union has grown to provide a wide variety of financial products and services to individuals, families, and businesses throughout Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and Putnam counties. 

DiNapoli took office in 2007 as the 54th Comptroller of the State of New York. The New York State Comptroller manages the State’s $184.5 billion pension fund, audits the spending practices of all State agencies and local governments, oversees the New York State and Local Retirement System, critically reviews the New York State and City budgets, and approves billions of dollars in State contracts and spending.
