Some light icing on untreated roads and surfaces may occur, said the weather service in a Hazardous Weather Statement released Friday morning.
Any snow or freezing rain should become rain after noon as the daytime high reaches the low 40s.
Little or no accumulation is expected in Northern Westchester and Putnam. Dutchess could see a half-inch or less of accumulation.
Things will warm up Saturday with a high in the low 50s under cloudy skies. There is a 50 percent chance of rain, mainly in the afternoon.
