POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Special Olympics Winter Games, which will be at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, is looking for social volunteers.
The games will be Feb. 19 and 20.
More than a thousand athletes and coaches will travel to the Games from all across New York State.
Many families can’t make the trip, so the Special Olympics needs the community to be at the competitions to watch, cheer and light the fire within these champions to help them win the gold.
