Olympian Addresses Grads at F.D. Roosevelt High School In Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt High School said goodbye to its graduating class in a ceremony last Friday at the Hyde Park School's football stadium.

The class had 302 graduates. Dalton Slegal earned the honor as the class valedictorian, and Nicolas Fantini was the salutatorian.The grads were decked out in green robes for boys and yellow for girls. 

Olympian Patrick Manning, a 1985 Roosevelt grad, delivered the commencement speech. Manning won a silver medal in the 1992 Olympic Games competing in rowing. He is  is presently the Group Head of Strategy at Anglo American, one of the world's largest mining companies.
