POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Following the announcement Tuesday by Vassar College President Catharine Bond Hill that she will retire at the end of the 2017 school year, Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro joined others in thanking Hill for her years of service.

“We join with the Vassar College community in thanking President Hill for her dedicated years of service and wish her the best in her future endeavors. Her contributions have undoubtedly led to the continuation of Vassar’s rank amongst the nation’s top schools for higher education," Molinaro said. "Dutchess County is grateful and proud to be the home of this noteworthy and historical institution and we look forward to our sustained partnership with Vassar College, its students, faculty and staff.”
