The Dutchess County Executive was in Essex County Saturday as he continues to kick the tires on running for governor in 2018 on the Republican ticket. Incumbent Democrat Andrew Cuomo is running for a third term.
At the Essex County Republican Committee's annual dinner Saturday, Molinaro criticized Cuomo for the state's high taxes which he says is causing people to leave New York, according to Sun Community News.
Molinaro also highlighted his record as Dutchess County Executive, cutting the workforce and eliminating positions without laying off employees, according to Sun Community News.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, who run against Cuomo in 2014, is also considering another run.
