I’ll be voting for Joel Tyner for Dutchess County legislator this November. Joel will be showing his leadership again on Saturday the 14th of October by organizing and hosting another Rhinebeck Repair Cafe, just one example of making broader concerns relevant to our community.

This international movement of neighbors helping neighbors is so conservative, extending usefulness rather than a cycle of buying, trashing and replacing?

Joel Tyner’s unquenchable curiosity and dedication to the future has also alerted me to the impending air pollution threat of the Cricket Valley fossil fuel power station in the Harlem Valley. I already have enough trouble breathing in July and August. As a beekeeper and organic grower I also appreciate Joel’s articulated concerns regarding pesticides.

The two townships of Clinton and Rhinebeck are fortunate in their relative peace and prosperity. Joel Tyner strives to protect that peace and prosperity and spread the good fortune as to the United States Constitutional preamble guides us - to “promote the general Welfare”.

Joel Tyner is closer to the original party of “Lincoln and Liberty” more concerned for women’s rights and the rights of African Americans than the neo-Republicans with their drumbeat of government as the conduit of taxes for private profit.

Thank you Joel for representing me in the County Legislature. I look forward to another two years of your vigorous activity.
