State Police troopers from Poughkeepsie were dispatched to a Woods Drive residence at approximately 2 a.m. on Friday morning following reports of the dispute.
Police said that during the dispute with her partner, Tania Rivas, 43, allegedly struck her victim with a closed fist, causing a laceration above an eye and threw a vase, causing a laceration on her head.
Rivas was charged with a felony count of second-degree assault. She was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond. She is due back in the Town of Stanford Court at a later date to answer the charge.
