Two Teens Charged After Rash Of Vehicle Break-Ins In Hyde Park

Two teens were arrested for a rash of vehicle burglaries in Hyde Park after two officers working a special detail aimed at nabbing the culprits caught them going through cars on Monday, July 24, according to the Hyde Park Police Department.

Trevor J Monroe, 19, of Hyde Park, and Dylan Fee, 18, of Wappingers, were caught going through cars in the Hidden Brook Estates development, said Lt. Robert Benson.  

When arrested, the two had stolen property, he added.

Monroe was charged with felony grand larceny. Fee, who was also charged with two burglaries in the Green Tree Development in May, was charged with two counts of felony burglary and felony grand larceny, Benson said.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are forthcoming, Benson said.

The Hyde Park Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff's K-9 unit, Town of Poughkeepsie detective’s, and City of Poughkeepsie detectives.

Monroe was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court on Thursday, Aug. 3

Fee was arraigned in front of Judge McArthur and is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court on Aug. 8.
