Kenneth R. Place, of Cold Springs, was arrested around 10 a.m. Tuesday when the City of Beacon Police were called to 426 Main Street for a reported robbery with a gun, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson.
The victim along with other witnesses were interviewed and Place was still on scene. The firearm described was located by officers and a subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Place, said Johnson.
He was charged with attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing and is being held at Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.
