State Police Investigate Structure Fire In Clinton

CLINTON CORNERS, N.Y. -- State police are continuing their investigation into the death of a Clinton Corners man who was found dead inside a burning shed Friday, Jan. 20.

Kevin A. McGarry, 56, was found dead inside the shed following the fire at 184 Shadblow Lane around 2:30 p.m., said Melissa McMorris, spokeswoman for the New York State Police.

Police don't believe the cause of the fire to be suspicious in nature and said it could take up to seven weeks for toxicology results to come back to determine a cause of death, said McMorris.

The fire was brought under control by the East Clinton Fire Department, Pleasant Valley Fire Department, and the Stanford Fire Department.
