Police: Rhinebeck Man Had Digital Files Containing Sex Acts By Children

A 63-year-old area man is facing charges following an investigation into child pornography that was found on his electronic devices, police said.

An investigation led by the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit in Troop K into Rhinebeck resident Michael Billone found that he was found in possession of digital files containing sexual performances by children.

Police said that investigators secured a search warrant, which led to Billone’s arrest late last month. 

Billone was arrested on June 22 and charged with a felony count of possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was released following his arraignment, and Billone is due back in court on Thursday, July 12.
